Holly Daugherty Earns Scholarship and CVPM Designation

Holly Daugherty joined the team at Pet Care Veterinary Hospital in 2011 as a credentialed veterinary technician and shortly after began managing inventory. She enjoys project planning, goal setting, and empowering her team to reach their full potential. She has been a shining light, assisting the practice in earning their AAHA re-accreditation and completing a successful OSHA safety audit. Holly also co-leads Inventory Training hosted by Encore Vet Group and is pursuing a BS in business management and minoring in marketing at Old Dominion University.

For Holly, the Certified Veterinary Practice Management (CVPM) designation was vital to her future success in the field. She earned the VMG-CVPM Scholarship in November 2020, which was the first step towards her goal and no easy feat. The VMG-CVPM Scholarship is awarded to managers employed by veterinary hospitals belonging to Veterinary Management Groups (VMG’s) whose professionalism, expertise, and commitment will be enhanced with CVPM certification.

The CVPM, which is offered through VHMA, qualifies the knowledge and experience necessary to successfully manage the ever-changing business management of today’s veterinary practices. CVPM candidates must document experience, knowledge and pass an examination.

We are proud to say Holly not alone received a scholarship, but she passed with flying colors earning the CVPM designation! Congratulations, Holly, on all of your many achievements!
