Encore Vet Group spent the morning cleaning up loads of debris near Walmart and Lowe’s in Saratoga Springs for Earth Day!
“This is our third year collaborating as a team to clean up our local community in an effort to reduce the impact of litter in our green space,” said Carley Graves, the event organizer from Encore Vet Group. “We wanted to do something to give back to our community on Earth Day and reduce the impact of litter on the environment. We hope this raises awareness of the chronic littering issues of our community.”

A few years ago, the Climate Reality Project participated in a litter clean-up in the Capital Region. Here are some of the findings that Encore Vet Group hopes to bring more awareness to with this year’s event:
- 91% were single-use items
- 56% could have been recycled, most via curbside pickup
- 61% were related to food consumption
“Now that it’s warmer out, this is a great activity for your friends and family. It’s Earth Day, every day!” said Zach Calhoun, IT Service Desk Technician.
Encore Vet Group is dedicated to great culture, strong leadership, high-quality medicine, and giving back to our communities.
