Every time a client walks through one of our clinic doors, they are greeted by someone who sets the tone for the entire visit. Every phone call answered, every anxious pet owner reassured, every schedule juggled with grace…that is the work of our Client Service Representatives! They are, in every meaningful sense, the heartbeat of our hospitals!
This week, April 19 – 25, is Veterinary Receptionist Week, and Encore Vet Group is proud to say thank you to every CSR across our family of practices. You don’t just manage the front desk. You care for people, for pets, and for communities in ways that go far beyond any job description. This week is yours, and you have absolutely earned it!
We asked our teams to share some stories and highlights, and what came back reminded us just how extraordinary our people truly are. Get ready to smile, because these stories are something special.
The Powerhouse Trio at Ark Veterinary Hospital
Leadership Milestone
Eight years of showing up, working hard, and caring deeply…that is Kaytee Schorr! Her commitment to the Ark Veterinary Hospital team, clients, and patients earned her a well-deserved promotion to Lead CSR. She has hit the ground running, finding new ways to support her fellow CSRs and lead by example every single day. We are so incredibly proud of you, Kaytee. That new laptop for admin days? Absolutely earned!
Going Above and Beyond
When an elderly client without transportation needed help caring for his beloved cat Blackie, Rachel and the CSR team stepped up without a second thought. They coordinated rides to appointments and took turns visiting his home every two months to apply Bravecto. When the time came for him to relocate from Ohio to Georgia, Rachel flew down with him to make sure he got there safely and settled in comfortably. That is not just customer service. That is genuine, wholehearted love for the people and pets in their care. We are so proud of you all!
Community Impact
Twice a year, Kaytee and Shayla volunteer at their local humane society’s TNR (trap-neuter-return) program, putting their hands-on skills to work for the animals in their community. This past March, they helped spay and neuter over 130 cats! Their dedication to reducing cat overpopulation in the Wooster area is inspiring, and it is a beautiful reminder that their passion for animals does not stop at the clinic door.
Everyday Hero
Shayla keeps the lobby moving and somehow remembers everyone’s name, even on the most chaotic days. At home, she fosters kittens, including the tiniest ones that need bottle feeding and round-the-clock attention. She doesn’t make a big deal of it. She just does it, because she cares. Because of her, countless kittens get the healthy, loving start in life they deserve. We are so proud to have her on our team!
Shining a Light on the Team at Sharon Center Veterinary Hospital
Every smooth day at Sharon Center Veterinary Hospital has six incredible people behind it. Shannon keeps the energy high, sometimes literally with a song. Alex brings a spark to every single interaction. Cassidy gets it done with focus and zero fuss. Lindsey is one of those genuinely warm people that clients immediately feel comfortable with. Linda is always in motion, somehow one step ahead of everything. And Quinn, the newest addition to the team, is already proving that some people just get it from day one. They don’t do this for the recognition. Which is exactly why they deserve every bit of it. Happy CSR Week to our amazing six!
Team Shoutout to Pet Care Veterinary Hospital
A huge shoutout to the Pet Care Veterinary Hospital CSR team for keeping everything running smoothly, especially as the practice settles into its exciting new space! Transitions take teamwork, and this group has handled every moment with professionalism, positivity, and grace. We see you and we appreciate you so much!
Professional Development at Westside Veterinary Service and Fitchburg Veterinary Hosptial
Congratulations to both Kali and Angela, from Westside Veterinary Service, for completing the Veterinary Receptionist Certificate of Excellence program! Earning a credential like this takes real initiative and a genuine commitment to growth, and it makes the entire practice stronger. These are exactly the kinds of achievements that inspire everyone around them. Kali and Angela, you are shining examples of what it looks like to invest in your craft, and we could not be more proud of you both!
We are also thrilled to celebrate Mischelle, a CSR at Fitchburg Veterinary Hospital, for completing the NAVC Client Service Representative certificate program! Her dedication to growth and excellence is truly inspiring. The confidence and expertise that come from this kind of professional development pour into every client interaction, and Mischelle is a wonderful example of what it looks like to show up fully in this role. Congratulations, Mischelle — you deserve to be celebrated!
To every CSR across every Encore Vet Group practice: you are seen, you are celebrated, and you matter. Not just to the clients and patients you serve every single day, but to the entire mission of what we are building together.
You bring joy, care, and humanity to this work in ways that cannot be measured. And we are so grateful for every single one of you.
Happy Veterinary Receptionist Week. Thank you for everything you do!
