Sue’s journey in the animal care industry started in 2017 when she began volunteering for Lake Tahoe Wildlife Care. She quickly obtained her Wildlife Rehabilitation Technician Certification and was brought on as a staff member. She rescued, provided medical care and participated in the release back into the wild of black bears, bob cats, porcupines, fox, beavers, coyote’s, eagles, hawks, songbirds and small mammals of the high Sierras of South Lake Tahoe, where she resides.
In her spare time, she enjoys time with her son and fur babies, Amara and Loki. She also enjoys hiking, yoga, running, biking, paddle boarding, ice skating, skiing and backpacking in the beauty of the mountains at 6500 feet.
