Senior Director of Human Resources
Melissa has a diverse background, including customer service and more than 15 years of veterinary management in a variety of environments, including multi-site management. She spent several years in operations before moving to human resources full time.
People are the heart of our business and Melissa’s goal is to make the workplace better for our people, so they can take better care of pets. Her interests include leadership and talent development, making our workplace more efficient, and helping guide employees and managers through difficult conversations.
Melissa lives in Florida with her family, which includes husband Ken, son Dylan, daughter Harper, and dogs Duke and Bailey, and bunny Oreo. She enjoys cooking, running, reading, traveling, and pretty much anything outdoors!
Did you know?
Before joining veterinary medicine, Melissa had a short stint as a pastry chef. She trained under a classically trained French pastry chef, and worked at a small luxury hotel that hosted celebrities on a regular basis.
